Head coach Chip Kelly confirmed Friday that a CTE test found no evidence of a player’s brain injury.
The team’s medical staff will now look into the matter, a source told ESPN.
Kelly told reporters on Friday that the team was still waiting for the results of a second CTE study.
The Eagles’ medical staff has not confirmed the results.
“It’s a very serious situation,” Kelly said, according to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“There are some really important steps that need to be taken before we can get to a determination about what’s happening.
We need to get the medical report, and we need to do a lot of work.
I think the sooner we can do that, the better.”
The Eagles will host the Cleveland Browns on Saturday night.
The Browns will host Carolina Panthers on Monday.
